Solis Storage Inverter integration guide#

Note

This manual provides instructions for integrating the SlimmeRik system with Solis Energy Storage Inverters. For detailed hardware instructions, see the individual battery and inverter manuals of the manufacturers. Important documentation is linked below.

1. RS485 Connection#

The Solis models support modbus RTU connections using the COM port connector of the inverter. The connector used is the Exceedconn EC04681-2014-BF. The Exceedconn connector has the following pinout with the notched key:

Warning

The wires should be soldered onto the Exceedconn connector.

The RS485 communication settings on the inverter should be set to:

Baud rate = 9600, Slave address = 1

From the main screen as shown below, click the “ENT” button.

Note

The Solis Wi-Fi or LAN Datalogger is not able to be used in conjuntion with SlimmeRik.

2. Connection guide#

Important

CAT6 SFTP network cable must be used for RS485 connection. RS485A+ should share a twisted pair with RS485B-. The foil of the cable can be connected to pin 2 of the Exceedconn connector.

2.1 Sunergy USB to Female RJ45 (black dongle)#

The female RJ45 socket has the following pin out. This is the standard colour and arrangement of ethernet (Cat6) RJ45 cables.
