M-TEC Integration guide#

This integration guide is compatible with the following M-TEC products:

  • M-TEC Energy Butler

1. Wiring#

  1. On one end of a ethernet cable crimp a RJ45 plug using the T568B termination standart.

  1. Connect the crimped RJ45 plug to the Sunergy USB-RS485-TYPE2 (white dongle).

  1. On the other end of the ethernet cable, connect the blue & white wire to M-TEC connector pin 13 and the blue wire to pin 14.

  1. Connect the dongle USB plug into any USB port on the SlimmeRik.

2. Enable modbus#

Modbus is enabled by default on the Energy Butler models. No configuration is required.
