Sigenergy Integration guide#

This integration guide is compatible with the following Sigenergy products:

  • Sigenergy SigStor EC SP

  • Sigenergy SigStor EC TP

1. Modbus support#

The following types of communication can be used to connect the inverter to the SlimmeRik.

  • Option 1) Ethernet - Connect to inverter using the local ethernet or wifi network (Modbus TCP).

  • Option 2) RS485 - Connect to inverter using the SlimmeRik RS485 dongle (Modbus RTU).

Warning

By default the modbus communication is disabled and needs to be enabled using mySigen App. See section 2.

2. Enable Modbus#

  1. Install the app by following the instructions in the mySigen App Installer Manual

  2. Enable the setting “Remote EMS Scheduling Enable” as instructed in chapter 2.3.1.5

  3. Enable the setting “ModBus TCP Server Enable” as instructed in chapter 2.4.1.4 (Only required if connecting by Modbus TCP)

3. Wiring#

3.1 - Option 1) Connect the SlimmeRik using the local network (Prefered)#

Follow the manufacturer Installation Guide on instructions how to connect the inverter to the local network using ethernet.

Warning

Both the inverter and the SlimmeRik must be in the same local network.

3.2 - Option 2) Connect the SlimmeRik using RS485#

  1. Unplug the inverter COM terminal block

  2. Crimp a RJ45 connector in one end of a UTP cable with the proper length, follow the T568B standart.

3. On the other end of the UTP cable connect the blue wire to the inverter RS485 1_A+ terminal (pin 15), and the blue/white wire to the RS485 1_B- terminal (pin 16).

  1. Plug the RJ45 connector to the SlimmeRik USB to RS485 adaptor - Type 2 (White).
